Adrienne Ames, born Ruth Adrienne McClure (August 3, 1907-May 31, 1947), was an American actress. Adrienne"Truax" was the stage name she used early in career. She was married three times. As a young teenager in 1920, she wed Derward DumontTruax, the son of an oil-businessman. The couple divorced in 1924. They had a daughter. An engagement with broker Stephen Ames on October 30 1932, ended with divorce. Her burial was within the Oakwood Cemetery at her native Fort Worth.
